Dr. Talitha Smith-Elliott is a Louisiana native who grew up in Monroe and a graduate of Neville High School. In 2005 she received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe majoring in Radiology. Thereafter she moved to Dallas, Texas where she enrolled in Parker Chiropractic College and was one of nine students chosen to finish her clinical rotation in Bogota, Colombia, where she treated Olympic athletes. She received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in the Fall of 2009 and returned to her hometown and began working at Mayfield Chiropractic Clinic where she helped the residents of Monroe and the surrounding areas return to optimal physical health.
In 2014 she opened her own clinic, New Health Chiropractic located at 1900 Lamy Lane Suite D in Monroe where she treats patients suffering from back pain, headaches, personal injury, workman’s comp and sports related injuries. In 2018 she became certified in dry needling allowing her to treat a host of muscle related injuries and various types of chronic pain. Her goal is to not only decrease pain, but to educate her patients on ways to live a full and healthy life. Dr. Elliott is currently opening up a second location in Shreveport, LA.
Dr. Elliott is a member of the Louisiana Chiropractic Association, Junior League of Monroe and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is married to Courtney Elliott and they have 4 children, Aiden (12), twins -Taylor and Paige (10), and Grace (6).
